Thinking and Working Politically Facility for British High Commission, Pakistan

Led by TPP Principal Ben French and in collaboration with Tabadlab, this project supports the British High Commission (BHC) in Pakistan to embed politically informed, adaptive approaches across policy influencing and development programming. The work helps BHC teams move beyond technical solutions by systematically integrating political economy analysis and Thinking and Working Politically principles into strategy, programme design and delivery.

Pakistan climate, security and risk assessment

The Policy Practice, led by TPP Principal Simon Brook, with TPP Principals Niki Palmer and Sam Bickersteth, and local consultants Ali Tauqeer Sheikh and Ameer Khan, undertook a climate, conflict and security risk assessment in Pakistan. The team incorporated a rapid assessment of capacity needs, based on a conflict-sensitive political economy analysis.

Political Economy of the Business Environment in Eleven Middle-Income Countries

This study examined the factors strengthening or weakening the environment for private investment and inclusive growth in eleven middle-income countries. The Policy Practice managed the research and produced a synthesis paper. It undertook two of these studies directly, and identified nine other country experts.

The research findings have been summarised in the Policy Practice Brief NO.12.
