Sam Gibson

Sam has more than 20 years of experience in international development. She started her career as a social development adviser in the UK Department for International Development. Sam then moved to senior roles at theIDLgroup, GRM, and Palladium, where she undertook a wide range of increasingly responsible consulting assignments for DFID, DFAT, and other development organisations. She has particularly deep expertise in gender and social inclusion. She’s applied this social development expertise in education, health, agriculture, economic empowerment, monitoring and evaluation, civil society, poverty analysis, governance, livelihoods, and fragility and conflict. Sam has a track record in policy and strategy development, as well as in the design, review and evaluation of programmes. She has managed multi-national and multi-disciplinary teams and has undertaken assignments for bilateral and multilateral agencies as well as international NGOs in Africa, Asia, the Pacific and the Balkans. Sam is a strong facilitator and trainer.
