Sahel Technical Support Project
BDO and The Policy Practice have been selected to deliver the Sahel Technical Support Project for the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, and funded with UK International Development from the UK government.
The project, which is part of the broader social protection Sahel Shock Response Programme, provides actionable political economy analysis (PEA) and flexible, demand-led Technical Assistance (TA) to enable adaptive, context-sensitive reforms across Burkina Faso, Chad, Mali, Mauritania and Niger. The project design ensures that TA is systematically informed by PEAs with ongoing learning following each PEA and TA assignments.
Laure-Hélène Piron is the Team Leader and also leads the PEA workstream. The other members of the core team are Anna Nordenmark (social protection workstream lead) and Younous Abdoulaye (regional adviser). The project draws on a pool of national, regional or international experts able to provide timely analysis and responsive TA across the region.
