Political Economy Analysis of the Agriculture Sector in Rwanda

Gareth Williams led a consultant team researching and writing a report on the Political Economy of the Agriculture Sector in Rwanda for the DFID funded mproving Market Systems in Agriculture for Rwanda (IMSAR) project. This took place at the beginning of the IMSAR programme to help it to better understand the power relations shaping the sector and market systems. The report made recommendations to IMSAR on developing a strategy that is effective and politically feasible, setting realistic expectations about what can be achieved, and understanding and mitigating risks.
