MSC Synthesis note 5 - PERL Contribution to National Public Sector Accountability Reforms in Nigeria (2024)

This paper analyses improvements in public sector accountability at the national level in Nigeria (2016–24) — constitutional reforms on legislative and local government autonomy, national audit reforms and federal performance management — how PERL contributed to these changes and the lessons learned, together with an assessment of sustainability and recommendations for future programme support.
