Binta Abba

Dr. Binta Abba is a Senior Lecturer at Bayero University specialising in educational assessment, measurement, and research methods. She holds a PhD in Tests and Measurement and brings strong expertise in psychometrics, including test design, item analysis, and the evaluation of learning outcomes.

Her work focuses on strengthening the quality and fairness of education systems, with particular emphasis on test validity, bias, and evidence-based practice. She has published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at international conferences. She is a consultant on the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office funded Partnership for Learning for All in Nigeria programme and also contributes to the Partnership for Accessible and Continuous Education project, applying her analytical expertise in education systems. Alongside her research, she has supervised over 100 students and delivered training for teachers and education practitioners across Nigeria.
