DFID/SIDA Energy Meeting
| Project Description: | Andrew Barnett of the Policy Practice provided advice and assistance to DFID’s Energy Advisor in relation to a series of meetings that were held at DFID on February 24th 2005 concerning Energy. These meetings included an informal presentation to DFID’s policy and advisory officials concerning the recent consultation undertaken by SIDA to revise its energy policy; a lunchtime presentation by the Shell Foundation to a large Whitehall audience on new business models for providing modern energy services to poor people profitably, and a presentation by Judy Segal concerning the Global Village Energy Partnership organized by the World Bank and other agencies; and a meeting between Anne-Charlotte Malm, Head, Infrastructure and Financing Division, SIDA, and her colleague Ana-Karin Muncio (Project manager and Advisor) with their opposite numbers in DIFD.
