Design of Nigeria Shared Growth Programme

Project Description: The Policy Practice undertook the design of a multi-component five year programme to support shared growth in Nigeria by promoting private sector-led growth in the non-oil sectors. The major components were:
  • Improving the environment for all types of business (through a Private-Public Dialogue Facility,
  • state-level investment climate surveys, and regulatory reforms)
  • Improving the access of poor people to finance and infrastructure services
  • Supporting management and capacities for economic growth
The team was led by Alex Duncan (team-leader) and Gareth Williams (deputy leader, and Business Environment). It produced a detailed Programme that is now under implementation.
