OECD DAC Energy paper


Project Description: The task was to prepare a paper for the OECD’s Development Assistance Committee’s (DAC) Second Workshop of the Infrastructure for Poverty Reduction (InfraPoor) (27-29 Oct 2004, in Berlin based on responses from bilateral donors to a questionnaire prepared by the Japanese Government.

The resulting paper was entitled: “Issue Note for Sector Discussions: Sector: Energy. Background And Major Issues In The Sector / Theme Related To Achieve Better Results In Poverty Reduction Through Economic Infrastructure”.

The paper was then discussed by the members and the results are recorded in “Summary of Emerging Consensus Points from 2nd Workshop of the Infrastructure for Poverty Reduction (InfraPoor) Task Team (28th October 2004, Berlin)”. Andrew Barnett of the Policy Practice provided advice and comments to the main author, Philip Mann from Oxford University.
