Advice to the EU Czech Presidency on energy policy
| Project Description: | The Policy Practice was contracted by Practical Action Consulting (previously ITDG Consultants) to provide advice to the government of the Czech Republic in preparation for their Presidency of the EU in 2009. The work involved providing an up-to-date insight as well as policy recommendations relating to Increasing Access to Sustainable Energy Sources at the Local Level. The work focused on an overview of implementation/funding instruments for the development of sustainable energy access in developing countries, identifying potential gaps /incoherencies particularly in relation to MDGs, access to social services, etc. The review covered government, non-government and private sector initiatives. |
